The Boardwalk

About Us

The Boardwalk is a riverfront wedding and event venue tucked away in nature, just minutes from downtown St Joe and Benton Harbor. We're a husband-and-wife team that came upon the space back in 2020 and saw the potential for a unique space to celebrate life's milestones. The location was amazing; just south of I-94's exit 28, sitting on acres along the St Joseph River and with an air-conditioned building that survived the 2018 flood.

We're constantly improving our space and refining our services. After some dedicated time spent planning and building during construction, we opened in July of 2022 for bookings and tours. Since then, we've added chandeliers to one of the riverside trees, hanging gardens, a covered garden pavilion, a geodesic studio dome and a forest lounge. We work closely with a design studio to layout vintage vignettes for each event, coordinate hotel shuttles, assist with vendors, and more.

While most of our events are weddings, all events are welcome. We've hosted a variety of alternate private events: graduation parties, birthday celebrations, baby showers, college reunions, family reunions, and more.
